Actor Laurence Fishburne hopes a huge chunk of The Matrix Reloaded will be taken up by his car chase - because it took 45 days to film.

The anticipated MATRIX sequel culminates in a lengthy freeway chase featuring Fishburne and Carrie-Anne Moss that took over six weeks to film on a freeway loop which film-makers spent $2.5 million (GBP1.6 million) to build on an old US naval base in Alameda, California.

And Fishburne estimates the chase sequence will last around 26 minutes in the film, set to be released on 14 May (03).

He says, "It better, because we took a damn long time filming it."
