Model and fashion blogger Lauren Scruggs has thanked fans for their support after she suffered serious injuries in a freak plane propeller accident last month (Dec11).
The 23-year-old blonde lost one of her hands and sustained severe head and shoulder injuries after walking into the spinning blades of a two-seater plane in Texas on 3 December (11). Doctors were also forced to remove her left eye, and Scruggs has been undergoing intensive rehab therapy in a Dallas hospital.
She has now spoken out for the first time since the accident to thank her followers for all their kind messages.
In a post on her blog, Scruggs writes, "I don't know how to thank each one of you, properly, for so much love during this difficult incident in my life.
"My heart is so grateful beyond what I could ever imagine. So thank you dearly for the sweet encouragements, the precious words in letters and messages, the beautiful grace in pretty presents, but mostly I am so so thankful for you and your loving hearts and sweet spirits."
