Lauren Goodger has quit 'The Only Way Is Essex' after a tempestuous six season run to join the Itv1 dance competition 'Dancing On Ice'.
The star, 25, waved goodbye to her fellow Towie peers at the end of series bash at No. 5 Cavendish Square in London last night (August 22nd 2012) and seemed to be feeling particularly affectionate towards the ladies of the show. She was photographed sharing a big kiss with co-star Frankie Essex at the event as well as throwing her arms around Cara Kilbey. Cara expressed her feelings over Twitter by posting: 'So sad to be saying goodbye to a special friend laurengoodger My drinking partner in crime, a girl who makes laugh x'.
Lauren was also seen sharing a reconciliatory chat with her ex-boyfriend Mark Wright's sister Jess with whom she had an explosive relationship with after she accused Jess of being the cause for her and Mark's split; an argument that soon turned physical in the back of a taxi when Lauren surfaced with a bust lip. The situation between Lauren and Mark was probably the main focus in her time on the show. They dated for nine years but series one of Towie saw him wooing two other girls from the show, Lucy Mecklenburgh and Sam Faiers; a situation which turned into a frenzy of unfaithfulness and ultimate pain for the people involved particularly, Lauren. It was no surprise when the final episode of the Itv2 show saw the brunette tell her friend James 'Arg' Argent: 'I can't stay around here anymore, I need to get away for a while, I need to get away and find myself.' Following her send-off, she Tweeted a heartfelt message to her co-stars and fans, hinting that she wasn't going to rule out a future comeback: 'wan2 say Huge thank u 2every1 on here who supported me over last 6series & been on this journey with me.means SO much.a break is not 4ever x.'
