Lauren Conrad's boyfriend is reportedly set to propose to her after just eight months together and has been out shopping for rings
Lauren Conrad's boyfriend is preparing to pop the question according to reports.
The former 'The Hills' star - who is currently promoting her new novel 'Starstruck' - has been dating law student William Tell for just eight months but friends say he is ready to propose to the pretty 26-year-old fashion designer.
A source told Life & Style magazine: ''William told a friend that Lauren was the one and he was shopping for an engagement ring.
''He said he was planning on proposing very soon and can't wait to pop the question. William is doing everything himself and taking care in selecting the perfect ring.
''He knows he needs to get the ring right since she is so stylish and - as a designer - has a definite taste when it comes to jewelry and fashion. Lauren has no idea he's ring shopping. He wants everything to be a surprise.''
Before finding love with 32-year-old William earlier this year, the actress - who has previously been romantically linked to reality TV star Brody Jenner and professional dancer Derek Hough - had been single for a year and admitted she found dating very difficult in Hollywood.
She said: ''Dating in Los Angeles can be hard, which makes it all the better when you meet a really nice guy.
''I'm not old-fashioned when it comes to dating, but there's something nice about a guy pulling out a girl's chair and opening the door for her, even if it's just in the beginning.''
The couple enjoyed a romantic trip to Mexico last July and are said to be completely smitten with one another since meeting last February.
