The upcoming Lars Von Trier drama NYMPHOMANIAC may have one of the most explicit plot lines in recent film memory, however it is shaping up to have one of the most star-studded casts you could possibly imagine.
Already lined up to star in the erotic movie, in which female protagonist Joe, a self-diagnosed nymphomaniac, recounts her life to an old, amiable bachelor who looks after her after finding her bloodied and beaten up in an alley, are Shia LaBeouf, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Stellan Skarsgard. Recently announced though, is the news that British actor Jamie Bell and Danish star Connie Nielsen will be joining them. As well as a host of other European stars, screen veterans Willem Dafoe and Nicole Kidman have also been rumoured to star in the erotic movie, although the movie's producers have neither confirmed nor denied these rumours.
The film will be shot as a two-part feature and Von Trier has also announced that Nymphomaniac is due to be released in both hard-core and soft-core versions. The 11-week filming period is set to begin in Germany this Tuesday (August 28th), with the release date planned for 2013.
During a recent interview, LaBeouf confirmed that the film will in fact contain "real" sex scenes, although the film's producers have since said that all sex scenes will be performed "with the help of body doubles and visual effects."
