Lars Ulrich is swapping his drum sticks for a camera to play a documentary-maker in a new movie about famed writer Ernest Hemingway.
The Metallica rocker has signed on to star alongside Nicole Kidman, Clive Owen, and Robert Duvall in Hemingway & Gellhorn, an upcoming HBO production about the author's five-year marriage to Martha Gellhorn.
In the film, Owen and Kidman will play the famous couple.
It's not Ulrich's first acting role - he had a cameo in 2004's Dave The Barbarian TV series and last year (10) played himself in Russell Brand comedy Get Him to the Greek.
