Pop star Lance Bass is relaunching his bid to travel into space.
The former 'Nsync singer underwent gruelling training to fly into orbit on a 2002 mission to the International Space Station, and even received an official cosmonaut certification.
He was left devastated when his sponsorship deals fell through and he was eventually replaced on the flight by Russian astronauts.
But the star hasn't given up on his dream of visiting outer space - and remains determined to launch into orbit.
He tells the New York Daily News, "I'm a trained astronaut and it's my time to go... I wanted to go to learn and explore. I didn't want to go to just float around."
