Cycling champ Lance Armstrong has dedicated his Tour de Suisse efforts to another Easy Rider - late movie star Dennis Hopper.
The cancer survivor admits he's always sad when great people succumb to the disease and he has Hopper in his thoughts as he takes on the Swiss mountain roads.
In a video post on his Livestrong.com website, Armstrong, who won the race in 2001, says, "For the last couple of days I've been riding in honour of Dennis Hopper, who we lost a few weeks ago.... Dennis was obviously an interesting character, an American icon in many ways and an amazing artist.
"I know, having met many people that got to spend... great time with Dennis, he'll be missed. Dennis, this one's for you."
