Lust For Life is the new single from Lana Del Rey, the track was written and performed as a collaboration with The Weeknd, the song is also the title track from Lana's fourth studio album. The video was directed by Love director Rich Lee and sees Lana and Abel (AKA The Weeknd) get up close and personal atop the Hollywood sign.
As well as Love and Lust For Life, it's also been announced that the new album will feature collaborations with Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks on the track 'Beautiful People, Beautiful Problems' and Sean Lennon on the song 'Tomorrow Never Came'. Lust For Life (the album) was created with Lana's long time writing and studio partner Rick Nowels. Lana released the first single from the album 'Love' on February 18th, aptly four days after Valentine's Day. Speaking about the new album Del Rey said: "I made my first 4 albums for me, but this one is for my fans and about where I hope we are all headed".
Though Lust For Life is Lana's fourth full major label release, back in 2010 she actually released her debut record under the name Lana Del Ray AKA Lizzy Grant. Lana's true debut 'Born to Die' -which featured a number of popular singles including 'Blue Jeans' and 'Video Games'- sold well over 3 million copies worldwide in its first year of release and is still a popular addition to many music fan's collection.
To promote the new release, Lana will be in the UK over the weekend as she's scheduled to play Radio One's Big Weekend with the likes of Katy Perry, Kings of Leon and Biffy Clyro. Over the summer Lana is also confirmed to play at a handful of European festivals including Lollapalooza in Paris, Norway's Øya Festival and Sweden's Way Out West Festival.
