Lamar Odom wants his ''old life'' back.

The disgraced basketball player - whose four-year marriage to Khloe Kardashian is on the rocks following claims of infidelity and a crack cocaine addiction - is hoping that things can go back to the way they were before his downward spiral.

The star is planning on being a good father to his two children Destiny, 15, and 11-year-old Lamar Jr. - who he has with ex-girlfriend Liza Morales - but he isn't sure about whether he will be able to save his marriage.

A source told E! News: ''He just wants to get healthy and be there for his kids.

''He is taking steps to get himself back on track. He wants his old life back, although he realises that might not include Khloe.

''He is surrounded by friends. We all hope he has turned a corner.''

Lamar spent the last season with the Los Angeles Clippers but is said to be ''determined to play for the Lakers again'' and recapture the glory days of his career which saw him turn out for LA Lakers for seven seasons, winning two NBA championships and being named Sixth Man of the Year in 2011.

Lamar's barber revealed that he has a meeting with his former team.

The hairdresser, Enzo from A Cut Above in California, instagrammed a picture of his famous client, writing alongside it: ''He still gets the star on the back of his head like when he played wit the Lakers speaking of which, Wish em the best of luck in his meeting wit the lakers today (sic)''
