The reality star may or may not have checked himself into rehab.
Lamar Odom, whose troubles with substance abuse have received a lot of publicity lately, has now checked into a rehab facility, according to People. The website cites two anonymous sources for confirmation, with one source close to Lamar reportedly saying: "He realized he needs help."
According to several media outlets, Odom’s substance abuse has been causing serious trouble in his marriage to Khloe Kardashian-Odom. TMZ recently reported that the reality star had kicked her husband out of their shared home. Even after the couple reunited, Lamar’s troubles were far from over.
Is he or isn't he?
Just last week, the basketball star, who played for the LA Clippers last season, was arrested for a DUI. He was stopped early Friday morning for his unusual driving pattern - going too slow on the 101 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley, driving in a "serpentine manner," police said, and going past three exits before stopping as the CHP tried to pull him over. It seems that his rehab stay started pretty recently. According to TMZ, Odom was seen cruising around LA over the weekend, clearly not spending the time reconsidering his drug and alcohol abuse. This means that the baller-turned-reality-star must have checked into the facility sometime during the week.
Reports around Odom's alleged rehab stint are still unclear.
Despite the fact that Odom is certainly not in a very good place right now, with his reported problems and the media attention that has followed, it seems that he at least has the support of his wife to rely on.
"She hasn't made any decisions yet about what to do," a source for People says of the reality starlet's marriage. "Right now she's just leaning towards trying to get him help."
While it has been a long and rocky road, it finally looks like Odom is getting the help he needs. Reports on this are conflicting, however - a recent report by TMZ claims that there is no truth to the rehab story. The story is unfolding at a head-spinning pace.
The marital problems however, have been reported by multiple sources.
