The 68-year-old star, who appeared in Oldman's 1997 movie Nil by Mouth and enjoyed a long-running role in U.K. soap opera EastEnders, filed bankruptcy paperwork with the High Court in London earlier this month (Aug13) after falling into financial difficulty.
Morse, real name Maureen Oldman, was officially declared bankrupt last week (ends18Aug13), according to Britain's The Sun newspaper.
Last night, Jennifer Ellison showed the Dancing on Ice judges that she's a little bit too flexible for her own good, as she kicked herself in the head with the blade of her ice skate during a complex routine. The incident happened as she and her partner Daniel Whiston performed the Valentines-themed routine to Peggy Lee's 'Fever.' The move, called a Scorpion Kick, involves the skater lifting one leg back up towards the head but Ellison misjudged her ability to extend her leg and the blade made contact with her head, causing it to bleed. When the dance finished, she could be seen clutching her head.

With the current season of Dancing on Ice now under way, Laila Morse is looking likely to be one of the first contestants to get the push. The bookmakers William Hill have just announced that they have finally received their first two bets for the Eastenders star to win the televised ice-skating contest. With odds of 66/1, two ambitious bets have been placed - one for 50p and another for one pound.

With all of the contestants now announced for Dancing On Ice, Jennifer Ellison and Matthew Wolfenden are current favourites to win the seventh series of skating show, with bookmakers offering odds of 4/1. The champion skier and TV ski commentator Chemmy Alcott is not far behind, along with the Sugababes singer Heidi Range and the former Blue Peter presenter Andy Akinwolere.
