Laila Ali has given birth to her second child.

The 33-year-old former boxer - who is daughter of the sports' legendary Muhammad Ali - confirmed that she and the baby girl are "happy and healthy" on twitter this morning (05.04.11).

She wrote on the micro-blogging website: "I had my baby girl this morning! Sydney arrived on her due date at 3am! Everyone is happy and healthy."

Laila - who took part in 'Dancing With The Stars' in 2007 - already has a two-year-old son Curtis 'CJ' Muhammad Jr with her husband Curtis Conway.

In a recent interview she revealed her famous father was excited about her having another child.

She said: "My dad is an excellent grandfather. He loves kids. He loves to kiss them to death."

The retired three-time world heavyweight boxing champion has many children himself, with Laila growing up as one of eight with six sisters, and two half-brothers Muhammad Jr. and Asaad.
