Lady GaGa unveils the world's first flying dress, dubbed 'Volantis', alongside her technical team TechHaus at the launch and exhibition of her new album 'Artpop'. Two techies explain about making the battery-operate fibre optic dress with the latest drone technology before Gaga removes her white jumpsuit and dons a helmet to get strapped into the machine.
The 'dress' is solid white with noisy, propeller-like mechanisms which hovers a little way off the ground before landing a few metres away. 'When I was writing 'Artpop', all of these amazing young people around me were in my heart and my soul and I was thinking about their potential and their possibilities', she told her audience at the launch. 'Then I was thinking about the potential and possibilities of many young people all over the world who are never given a voice because maybe they're afraid or they don't know who to ask or the right person to talk to, to give their ideas to.'
