The singer unveiled the clip for her comeback single today (19.08.13) and it features the singer in a range of guises, including with her head on a swan's body and in another bikini fashioned out
The video also sees the singer appear with multicoloured paint on her face as pictured on the cover of physical copies of the song.
A complicated dance routine accompanies the track's chorus as well as there being various surreal images of the singer.
'Applause' - the first single from Gaga's third album 'ARTPOP' -reached number five in the UK charts last night (18.08.13) after being rush-released last Tuesday (13.08.13) when versions of it leaked on the internet. It had originally been scheduled for release today.
Gaga has previously told how she wore some of Michael Jackson's clothes while working on 'ARTPOP', after winning 55 items belonging to the late star at an auction.
She said: ''The idea was to keep them for him. I actually don't really want to wear them; they're Michael's clothes.
