Freaky megastar Lady Gaga has just been announced to be making her 'Artpop' return with a performance at MTV's video awards in August.
Lady GaGa has performed before at the MTV VMAs but it seems the prestigious, explosive awards ceremony can't get enough of the 'Bad Romance' singer's outlandish outfits and stage surprises. To date the 27 year-old pop star has 13 of MTV's shiny 'Moonmen' awards to her name with probably a few more to come.

MTV announced this year's first performer at a live event that will see huge industry names such as Justin Timberlake, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis (6 nominations each) along with Miley Cyrus, Bruno Mars, Thirty Seconds to Mars and Pink plus many more all up to win an award for their music videos. Categories will include 'best pop video', 'artist to watch', 'best video with a social message', 'best cinematography plus awards for best male and female videos.
Anyone who's a little monster will be super excited for Gaga's comeback performance because it will be the first time she's performed her new single, which is released on 19th August, from her upcoming Artpop album. All eyes are on Mother Monster as we wait to see what new weirdness she'll bring to the stage after taking time out to record some new material. The MTV VMA gig will also be the first time Gaga's performed live since she had hip surgery in February which left the 'Judas' singer temporarily wheelchair-bound as she recuperated.
With regards to her forthcoming work, Gaga posted a few tantalising notes on her new website, littlemonster.com, 'ARTPOP as they pry the single from my bleeding fingers. Its a scary thing to revisit those things underneath, the pain in your past. but all I found was raw passion. I thought I was destroyed inside. im just ready to fight. start the music. [Sic]"
