Lady GaGa is celebrating her 27th birthday with a sober tea party after having hip surgery.
The 'Born This Way' singer has been wheelchair bound following surgery to repair a labral tear on her hip last month, and as she is still taking painkillers, her boyfriend Taylor Kinney has planned a low-key bash for her big day.
A source told The Sun newspaper: ''Gaga's always been obsessed with taking tea and tea sets on tour to keep her happy, so they are putting a smile on her face with this Alice In Wonderland-themed do.
''She's still on painkillers after the operation on her hip so she shouldn't be drinking any alcohol, which also makes it a good idea.''
The singer is recovering in style, however, as she commissioned a lavish 24-carat gold plated wheelchair from luxury brand Mordekai help her get around her house.
The brand's creative genius Ken Borochov said in a statement: ''I certainly wasn't expecting that phone call and have never done a wheelchair but am always up for a challenge and was thrilled to create what I affectionately dubbed the 'Chariot', a chair fit only for a queen.''
The luxurious wheelchair features gold rims, a comfortable black leather seat and removable leather canopy.
The chair can also recline should the pop superstar want to relax.
