The 28-year-old singer revealed being sexually assaulted inspired her song 'Swine.'
Lady GaGa recently made the shocking revelation that she was raped when she was just a teenager, and this horrific event was the inspiration behind her track 'Swine,' which is from the singer's third studio album 'Artpop.'
Gaga revealed she was sexually assaulted at 19-years-old
During a candid interview with Howard Stern on Tuesday (Dec 2nd), Gaga recalled how she was sexually assaulted when she was around 19-years-old, but she only spoke of the incident now because she doesn't want "to be defined by it."

One of the biggest trends in music today is that new rhythms, beats and backing vocals are sounding more and more like the old ones. Vintage and retro have defined some of the big hits of the last few years, from Pharrell's 'Get Lucky' and 'Happy' to Meaghan Trainor's 'All About That Bass'. Most of these sounds only call back to the 1970s and maybe the 50s and 60s for their funk and their groove, and for some people that's just not enough. So leave it to Lady GaGa, never one to go halfway on anything, to team up with good old-fashioned showman Tony Bennett to deliver us all the way back to the Roaring 20s and the era of swing with their collaboration album titled 'Cheek To Cheek'.
If you've come into this album thinking that this will be a blend of Lady Gaga's pioneering pop methods and Tony Bennett's timeless style, I regret to inform you that it has missed the opportunity to feature Tony Bennett's cover of 'Bad Romance'. 'Cheek To Cheek' plays it straight, with Lady Gaga ditching her usual brand in favor of a 20s crooner. This is all Bennett's wheelhouse, and she really fits right in. Lady Gaga fits effortlessly into the role of the saucy dame, best seen in 'Goody Goody' where she cops her native New York accent to complain that she is no "goody goody", adopting a sly attitude as Bennett tries to romance her in all the wrong (yet right) ways.
Bennett and Gaga are both at their best in the call-and-reply songs, employing fitting referential metaphors in 'They All Laughed', convincingly affectionate back-and-forth in 'Cheek To Cheek' and, what must be one of the most comical lines, fitting the words "silly gigolos" into the album opener 'Anything Goes'. Gaga and Bennett also deliver two solos each, although Bennett's 'Sophisticated Lady' and Gaga's 'Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye' and 'Lush Life' sound a bit too similar as slow-paced piano ballads in comparison to Bennett's string-dominated 'Don't Wait Too Long'. Other songs pack more instrumental flair, with the manic energy of 'Firefly' and the jazzy overtones of 'I Can't Give You Anything' conjuring images of smoke-filled old boys clubs. And, of course, the duo's rendition of 'It Don't Mean a Thing' closes the album with a bang.

The legendary singer has teamed with Gaga for 'Cheek To Cheek', an album of jazz standards.
Tony Bennett will be celebrating hitting the top spot of the US billboard charts this weekend, beating his own record for the oldest living artist to earn a number one album. The 88 year old released Cheek To Cheek, an album of jazz duets with Lady GaGa on September 23rd, and has so far sold over 131,000 copies of the album.
The record breaking Tony Bennett
The album is the third number one debut in a row for Bennett’s collaborator Lady Gaga, who last hit the top spot with ARTPOP, less than a year ago. For Bennett, it marks his second number one album after he set his original record for oldest living artist to earn a number one, with Duets II in 2011.
Musical superstars from different eras score huge success on collaboration album of jazz covers.
One of the less likely musical match-ups in pop music history has caught the public’s imagination. Pop superstar Lady Gaga’s collaboration album Cheek To Cheek with legendary crooner Tony Bennett has entered the Billboard chart at number 1.
The jazz standards covers record sold 131,000 copies in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan, narrowly beating out albums by Kenny Chesney and Barbra Streisand at numbers 2 and 3 respectively. It also reached the Top 10 in the United Kingdom on its debut week.

Lady Gaga has declared - as if we didn't know it already - her admiration for Tony Bennett. Speaking in a recent interview to promote their upcoming album 'Cheek to Cheek', Gaga claimed Bennett had saved her life earlier this year.
Infamously eccentric Lady Gaga and smooth aged crooner Tony Bennett may appear to make unlikely friends, but in recent interviews the two have expressed their great affection for one another and close bond. The pair first met in 2010 and, after releasing a rendition of 'The Lady Is a Tramp' back in 2011, decided to create an album of Jazz covers together entitled Cheek to Cheek.

'My Favourite Faded Fantasy' by Damien Rice hits the UK in November 2014, co-produced by Rick Rubin.
Eight years after the release of his acclaimed number one second album '9', Damien Rice is returning with a new record entitled 'My Favourite Faded Fantasy' - and from what we've heard, the result looks like an exciting prospect.
Damien Rice finally returns with album three
The Irish singer-songwriter crooned his way into the hearts of thousands with his easy listening first albums - 2002's 'O' and 2006's '9' - and tracks such as 'Cannonball' and '9 Crimes', and now he's preparing to come back in style as he teams up with pioneering record producer Rick Rubin (who lent his artistic hand to the likes of Jake Bugg's 'Shangri La', Lady Gaga's 'Artpop' and Ed Sheeran's 'X' in recent times) for his significantly longer titled third release. The album's title track was debuted by Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1 and will be available for free with every pre-order, with the first single 'I Don't Want To Change You' due to follow shortly.

‘Born This Way’ singer was performing at a fashion week party hosted by Harper’s Bazaar.
Word to the wise, do not speak when Lady Gaga is performing. Sure if you're attending a sold out Monster's Ball tour show, she probably wont be able to hear you exchanging a few words with your bestie, but when it’s a more intimate jazz concert, it’s probably best to keep zipped.
When Gaga's performing you sit and listen
Just ask a few attendees at a New York Fashion Week party in the Plaza hotel who thought they had better things to do than give Gaga their full attention.
It's taken nearly 10 years for filmmaker Robert Rodriguez and graphic novelist Frank Miller to get around to making this sequel, but it was worth the wait because the technical advancements make this second triptych of stories even more visually stunning, and the emotional resonance is even stronger. This is a lean, mean noir thriller that doesn't waste a single moment as it rips through three interlocking plots that centre on revenge for the events of the first movie.
Two people are out to get even with the ruthlessly nasty politician Roark (Powers Booth). Watched over by the hulking Marv (Mickey Rourke), gun-toting stripper Nancy (Jessica Alba) is still heartbroken after Roark killed her beloved Hartigan (Bruce Willis), who appears to her as a ghostly apparition. And Johnny (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is determined to bring Roark down by humiliating him at his own high-stakes poker game, even though merely having uncanny good luck might not be enough. But the main story centres on private eye Dwight (Josh Brolin), who is stopped in his tracks when he encounters his old flame Ava (Eva Green), a bombshell who has power over most men she meets. She asks for help with a domestic problem, and Dwight is powerless to walk away even though he knows something is fishy.
As before, these stories unfold exactly as they would in a graphic novel, with blunt dialogue and strikingly visual imagery black and white that's spotted with flashes of colour. Aside from Ava's blue coat, that colour is usually red: hair, nails, lips, but not blood, which splashes in glaring white. It looks fantastic in (ahem) eye-popping 3D. And it's fiercely violent as death hovers around the residents of Basin City, especially the lawless Old Town district. But there's just as much emphasis on surging passion, including some surprisingly graphic sexuality that plays up how helpless men are around a scantily clad woman. Indeed, it's rare to see an action film in which the women are so resolutely in charge.

Let's take a look at some of the worst grammar-offenders in music.
Everybody loves a good pop song, but sometimes you can’t help but cringe when the lyrics are just bad beyond comprehension. Pop obviously isn't exactly known for its strengths in the lyric department, but it’s hard to ignore when lyrics aren’t just bad - they’re grammatically incorrect, too.
Ariana Grande and Max Martin fought over grammatically incorrect lyrics in 'Break Free'
Believe it or not, the actual artists behind the songs may feel the same way, too. Ariana Grande recently spoke about the arguments in the studio that she had with producer Max Martin while recording her new album, My Everything. The issue? Some of the lyrics to her recent single, ‘Break Free,’ made no sense at all. “I fought him on it the whole time,” Grande said to Time. “‘I am not going to sing a grammatically incorrect lyric, help me, God!’ Max was like, ‘It’s funny — just do it!’” Grande eventually gave in to Martin’s demands, singing lines like “Now that I’ve become who I really are,” and “I only wanna die alive.”

A clip from the scrapped video has surfaced online, leaving us wishing it had stayed ‘lost’.
Remember that Lady GaGa and R.Kelly video which was supposed to be released last year but never materialised? Well this week we all got a pretty good idea about why the video for ‘Do What U Want’ never saw the light of day when TMZ leaked clips from the previously unseen video. Prepare to be made to feel very uncomfortable by Gaga, R. Kelly and photographer Terry Richardson in a video which really should have never existed.
Gaga's 'Do What U Want' video was pulled earlier this year
When the video was originally scrapped earlier this year, Gaga blamed “time constraints” and a fallout with her then management team. But the real reason for the video never airing might have had a lot more to do with its disturbing nature and Gaga’s controversial co-stars. In an article published earlier this week on Page Six, the website reported that the video was pulled due to allegations made against Gaga’s collaborators, with source describing the video as being “directed by an alleged sexual predator, starring another sexual predator. With the theme, ‘I’m going to do whatever I want with your body’? It was literally an ad for rape.”
Meet the Japanese trio who are joining Lady Gaga’s ArtRave Tour
Babymetal is a group which could only have hailed from Japan, could only have found success thanks to Youtube and could only have been chosen by Lady GaGa as a support act on her 'ArtRave' tour. Three teenaged girls in matching outfits singing and dancing onstage to ‘heavy metal’ music, Babymetal needs to be seen and heard to be believed. Yet after seeing it we’re still not sure if we didn't just imagine the whole thing.
Meet Babymetal, the Japanese viral sensations
The origins of Babymetal are found in girl group Sakura Gakuin, a pop act manufacture by a Japanese talent agency, which employs an ever changing line-up. Basically when a member gets too old (ie around 16) they get kicked out (or graduate) from the group. One day the group’s manager had an idea for an interesting musical experiment. “Why don’t we try and fuse metal music with cutesy pop,” we assume he said, and thus Babymetal was created using Sakura Gakuin members Suzuka Nakamoto, Moa Kikuchi and Yui Mizuno.

[NSFW] Gaga and R Kelly's scrapped music video has surfaced via a clip online.
A new video clip has surfaced online allegedly containing content from Lady GaGa and R Kelly's scrapped 'Do What U Want' music video. The second single to be released from Gaga's latest album, ARTPOP, 'Do What U Want' has an official video that that is shot very differently to the scenes seen in the new clip.
The song's lyrics express themes of sexual submissiveness, which has been alluded to in several live performances involving the pop star and the R&B singer, but never as explicitly as seen in the Terry Richardson-directed video, which has been leaked by TMZ.
The short excerpt posted on the Gaga Daily Facebook page begins with Gaga on a hospital trolly moaning as R Kelly's hand moves around under her sheet. "Sounds like that medicine's starting to kick in," he says. When then see Gaga coverting nude amongst newspaper gossip headlines related to her personal life and career in a scene soundtracked by 'Do What U Want.'

Watch the ridiculous Sin City 2 trailer below.
Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill for has a brand new trailer, featuring an extensive look at the predominantly black & white art-house, film-noir, super-violent, based-on the-comics-of-Frank-Miller, stylised thriller. It’s Sin City; let’s all kill this one dude.
Joseph Gordon Levitt has some revenge to take in Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For
Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Eva Green, Josh Brolin, Christopher Meloni, Jeremy Piven and Lady GaGa are all newcomers, while Micky Rourke, Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King and Powers Boothe are all returning to the franchise.
It's all about revenge in Sin City now as the wounded (both physically and mentally) set out on a trail of death and destruction in a bid to make sure justice is served in their town. Dwight McCarthy is on another rescue mission to save an abused wife as Ava Lord claims she is a prisoner at the hands of her wealthy husband Damien. Unfortunately, it seems her intentions are of the dishonest kind. Thought to be have been executed, Marv wakes up among several corpses with little memory of his alleged crimes, but a strong desire for vengeance. Nancy is heartbroken to the point of insanity following police officer John Hartigan's suicide, and there's no stopping her when she decides to sentence the father of child-killer Roark Junior, Senator Roark, to death. Notorious gambler Johnny is a newbie in the town with his own scores to settle, but it isn't long before he realises he's messing with criminals much bigger than him.
The second instalment of the 'Sin City' film franchise 'Sin City: A Dame To Kill For' is due for release nearly ten years following the 2005 original. Author of the original graphic novel Frank Miller ('300', 'Batman: The Dark Knight Returns', 'Daredevil: Born Again') has adapted the screenplay and co-directs the movie with Robert Rodriguez ('Machete', 'Once Upon a Time in Mexico', 'From Dusk Till Dawn'). 'Sin City 2' is set to hit UK screens on August 25th 2014.
Yet another incident of extreme Lady Gaga photoshopping has emerged. Are there any images of her which aren't doctored?
Remember when those untouched Versace images of Lady Gaga cropped up? The Lady’s highly anticipated Spring 2014 Versace campaign turned out to be a bigger hoax than Ray Santilli’s alien autopsy. Everything from her skin colour to the texture of her hair was altered in the images, but the most confusing thing was that she had only recently slammed the use of photoshopping in regards to the her December Glamour cover.
In many recent images Lady GaGa's body has been photoshopped beyond all recognition
At the time of the cover Gaga had said, “I felt my skin looked too perfect. I felt my hair looked too soft. I do not look like this when I wake up in the morning…I don’t even look like this,” in reference to her Gaga-esque hair and hair and makeup. She further added, “It is fair to writer about the change in your magazines. But what I want to see if the change on your covers…When the covers change, that’s when culture changes,” before encouraging people to “fight back against the forces that make them feel like they’re not beautiful.”

Music fans have named Lady GaGa, Miley Cyrus and Rihanna in their top ten hardest artists to understand lyrically. 2000 people took part in the poll, which was created by Blinkbox music, a music streaming service. The poll aimed to find out which artist's lyrics fans find the hardest to decipher.
Music fans have named Ozzy Osbourne the hardest artist to understand
Ozzy Osbourne bagged first place as the artist whose music is hardest to make out. Fans are often left confused about what the Black Sabbath frontman is saying in his songs. It’s unclear whether they are able to understand him when he isn’t singing, as demonstrated by his bizarre Grammys intro speech.
A lot of photoshopping went on in Lady Gaga’s new ad campaign for Versace.
Lady GaGa has become the latest celebrity to find themselves in the middle of the ongoing Photoshop debate after un-retouched photos from the pop singer's new Versace campaign leaked online. As the new face of the Italian high fashion brand, Gaga features in numerous photos for the extensive new ad campaign, modelling clothes and accessories.
Un-Edited Photos From Lady Gaga's Versace Ad Campaign Have Surfaced Online.
Gaga doesn't exactly look terrible in the unedited snaps but that very fact alone has cause fans and feminist sites to criticise the heavy Photoshop editing that saw the 'Artpop' singer dramatically changed. The star was digitally given a lot more make up than she appeared to be wearing in the original shots and even had her hair changed from a straw blonde to a more platinum shade.

Since Lady Gaga entered the spotlight she has aimed to be see as shocking, but have we become immune to the 'G.U.Y.' singer's particular brand of outrageous?
There’s nobody out there that can argue with us when we say that Lady GaGa aims to be shocking. Since she first burst onto the scene with her debut album The Fame in 2008 she has made a concerted effort to make sure that her music, her image and her performances are regularly debated. From outfits made entirely from raw meat to appearing onstage wearing nothing but fishnets and bubbles, Gaga has worked hard to be anything but your run-of-the-mill pop star.
Lady Gaga always aims to be outrageous
Recently Gaga has been caught lap dancing at BPM Nightclub in New York since the furor died down from her heavily criticised performance at SXSW, which saw a ‘vomit artist’ projectile vomit all over her. Twice. That two times too many. Gaga had explained before the vomit fest, “I believe being an individual and speaking your mind is one of the boldest things you can do. As for my bold act, you’ll have to wait for the show.” Whether Gaga’s act was bold and artsy or just plain bizarre is the question.

Popstar Lady GaGa, actor Bill Murray and chat show host David Letterman confuse awaiting paparazzi as they run towards the studios for their appearance on 'The Late Show With David Letterman' in New York. The unusual trio certainly looked to be in high spirits for their TV arrival.
Lady Gaga and David Letterman helped Bill Murray tick two items off his bucket list on Wednesday night.
Lady GaGa, Bill Murray and David Letterman are perhaps some of the most unlikely people you'll find taking a selfie together yet that's just what happened when Murray and Gaga joined the talk show host on The Late Show With David Letterman on Wednesday (2nd April).
Lady Gaga outside the Roseland Ballroom in New York.
Murray arrived on the show and attempted to usurp Letterman from his desk at the New York studio. Carrying a clipboard, Murray announced it was on his bucket list to host the Late Show and meet Lady Gaga. Fortunately, he was able to tick the two off his list at the same time.

Birthday girl Lady GaGa arrives at the Roseland Ballroom in New York in a yellow taxi adorned with pink flowers as she gears up for her 28th birthday performance. In a similar fashion to her transport, she is wearing a nude bodysuit with flower décor to protect her modesty, ridiculously high pink platforms that she struggles to walk in and a strange headpiece made up of the same blooms.
Lady Gaga celebrated her 28th birthday dressed in a few dozen roses, an opaque onesie and a headscarf.
Lady GaGa knows how to celebrate her birthday in style - sort of. The Mother Monster and queen of all things bizarre joined fans in New York on Friday (28th March) to celebrate her 28th birthday with a performance at the Roseland Ballroom.
Lady Gaga will close the famous Manhattan venue on April 7th.
The 'G.U.Y.' singer showed up to her performance in her birthday suit - well almost. Gaga arrived at the venue in a vintage New York yellow cab, wearing one of her most bizarre outfits to date. Gaga wore what appeared to be an onesie made entirely of opaque nylon, with red roses strategically placed across her chest and crotch. Unfortunately, it was still possible to see Gaga's tiny nude underwear, despite the single rose bud placed between her buttocks. In order to complete the ensemble, Gaga wore a red headscarf also decorated with a string of red roses.
Where the 2011 reboot felt effortless in the way it recaptured that warmly anarchic Muppets humour, this sequel feels like it's working every step of the way. Yes, it's riotously silly and occasionally hilarious, but there are large chunks of the movie that just aren't funny at all, mainly because there's so much emphasis on the tangled web of a plot that the characters get lost in the shuffle.
It starts just as the last movie ended: the Muppets decide to do a sequel based on an idea from interloper Dominic (Ricky Gervais) to take their show on a world tour. But Dominic is actually in league with super-villain frog Constantine (Matt Vogel), who has just escaped from a gulag. So when the Muppet Show lands in Berlin, he orchestrates a swap: Constantine takes Kermit's place in the show, while Kermit (Steve Whitmire) is sent to Siberia under the watchful eye of guard Nadya (Tina Fey). Meanwhile, Interpol agent Jean-Pierre (Burrell) and CIA operative Sam Eagle (Eric Jacobson) are investigating a series of robberies mysteriously linked to Muppet performances in Berlin, Madrid and Dublin.
All of this builds to a head in London, where Constantine is staging an elaborate wedding to Miss Piggy (Jacobson) to distract from his real plan to steal the Crown Jewels. But this plot-strand feels predictable and limp compared to much more interesting character interaction. For example, scenes between Kermit and Fey are a lot more fun as they plan a musical revue with the inmates (and get Trejo and Liotta sing and dance!). And the escalating banter between Sam Eagle and Burrell is hilarious even as it indulges in cheap Euro-jokes.

Was it wise for Lady Gaga to publicly announce that she is submissive at home to boyfriend Taylor Kinney? The pop star sends out a mixed message to young female fans.
We were pretty surprised to hear Lady GaGa admit that her boyfriend wears the trousers in their relationship. During a recent radio interview Gaga admitted that her boyfriend Taylor Kinney is “totally in charge”, adding, “I mean, when I am home, I am like, shoes are off, I’m making him dinner. He has a job, too, and he is really busy!”
Lady Gaga is one of the most successful female recording artists
Lady Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, has been dating actor and model Kinney since they met on the set of her video for her song “You and I” back in 2011. Kinney has appeared in Zero Dark Thirty as well as upcoming movie The Other Woman, starring Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann and Kate Upton. He also had a recurring role as Mason Lockwood on CW’s The Vampire Diaries.

Who knew Angelina Jolie appeared in a Meatloaf music video in the early 90s? These other celebrities have popped up in music videos, how many of them have you seen?
We all know that Lady GaGa loves to shock, so no one was actually that surprised to see the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills make a cameo appearance in her new ‘ARTPOP’ music video for ‘G.U.Y.’ Gaga isn’t the only musician to make use of celebrities in her music videos, although she is certainly the first to dress up reality TV stars as an ancient Greek chorus. The video for ‘G.U.Y.’ sees Lisa Vanderpump playing the tambourine, while Kim and Kyle Richards play guitars, Carlton Gebbia strums the harp with Yolanda Foster on the cello. No one can call Gaga unoriginal!

Who remembers Courteney Cox’s cameo appearance in Bruce Springsteen’s 1984 video for “Dancing in the Dark”? We don't blame you if you can't, it was quite a long time ago and the Friends star herself was only 20 years old. The video sees The Boss pluck Cox from the crowd to bring her up on stage to dance with him.

So what's going on in Lady Gaga's new 'G.U.Y.' video?
Far be it from us to try and analyse anything Lady GaGa does, but when she unleashed her new eight minute ‘G.U.Y.’ video, we just had to have a go. ‘Real Housewives’, a resurrected Michael Jackson and a whole load of flowers got us asking, Gaga what’s going on? She didn't answer, but here's a quick walkthrough of the video that might just be her weirdest moment yet.
Lady Gaga attends the Vanity Fair Oscar's party last month
We begin our eight minute trek into Gaga's mind as money falls from the sky and gets pocketed by a load of greedy men in suits, (record company executives we're guessing). On the ground is Gaga, who appears to be a sort of phoenix style angel who has massive wings and wears a body stocking. Oh she’s also got an arrow through her, ouch. As the wounded Gaga bird stumbles around she’s eventually helped out by some hooded rubber enthusiasts who bring her to a huge outdoor pool where she’s set to be ‘reborn’.

Lady Gaga's Summerfest show has sold over 14,000 tickets.
Live Nation executive Arthur Fogel says rumors of poor ticket sales for Lady GaGa's Summerfest headlining show are "ridiculous", and that Mother Monster is all set for a triumphant summer show at the Marcus Amphitheater in Milwaukee.
"The run with Gaga over the last two tours has been incredibly successful, and this one is shaping up no differently," Fogel, chairman of the company's global touring division, producers of Gaga's forthcoming artRave: The ARTPOP Ball tour, told Billboard's Ray Waddell.
Lady Gaga vs Demi Lovato, Who's Right In the Vomit War?
In her perennial quest to push boundaries that often don’t need pushing, Lady GaGa let ‘vomit artist’, Millie Brown, do her thing all over her at SXSW festival on March 13. The singer foresaw the backlash, and now says she’s not surprised by people’s reactions.
"I guess we weren't completely surprised. Millie and I know that not everybody's going to love that performance," the 27-year-old singer told "Today" anchor Savannah Guthrie yesterday morning (March 21). "But we both really believe in artistic expression and strong identities," she continued.

Is Gaga taking over the world with her wacky outfits?
Lady GaGa has appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel show wearing a dress made out of coffee filters - are we surprised? In a word, no. Where else is there to go once you wear a dress made out of meat, had a Christmas tree on your head and generally made a show of yourself every time you’ve stepped out the front door? We’re not complaining, Gaga’s outfits are always worth a look no matter how ridiculous they might seem and this list of ten of the best is just a small look at the singer’s increasingly wacky wardrobe.

Lady Gaga's controversial performance at the South by Southwest music festival has prompted Demi Lovato to speak out about eating disorders. Gaga was deliberately vomited on whilst performing 'Swine', an act which Lovato believes "glamorises" eating disorders.

Gaga opens up on her annus horribilis
Lady GaGa’s much anticipated SXSW keynote saw the singer detail her difficult year, which comprised a mediocre response to her album Artpop, a split from her management, a nasty hip injury followed by surgery. But she vowed to never change, and would rather quit pop than compromise.
Lady Gaga gave a candid keynote at SXSW
“I refuse to compromise and allow my talents to be monetized to the point that I don’t want to be here anymore. I will stop, I will quit, I will retire from the commercial market if I have to do something other than be myself because if I can’t be myself in this moment than everything I have said to my friends since the beginning will be a total lie,” she said in an hour-long question-and-answer session.

Lady GaGa brought some serious 2008 nostalgia to her SXSW gig on Thursday night. Her show included highlights like fake vomit, a roasting spit and some good old-fashioned mechanical bull riding. It’s not cliché, it’s classic. If you’re wondering how it all ties together, imagine Gaga being wheeled out on a huge roasting spit, from which she sang her first song, Aura. Apparently this time it wasn’t some thinly veiled metaphor about celebrity culture, just a nod to Texas’ infamous BBQ culture.
Gaga was back to classic form for her show at the Austin-based festival.
Clad in black lingerie and fishnets, Gaga addressed the crowd, saying: "I've been having such a good time all week. I haven't showered. I've been drinking all week. And eating."
Lady Gaga is one of the many acts set for SXSW this week.
The Public Assembly Code Enforcement - or PACE team - is patrolling the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas to make sure parties and events don't get out of hand. The team is on the lookout for problems including overcrowding, permitting issues or even the safety of temporary structures at South by Southwest.
"We usually respond to requests from other agencies or citizens about things that they feel might be unsafe," Lt. Vincent Hernandez with the Austin Police Department, who also heads up PACE told Kxan,"[The] Public Assembly Code Enforcement Team will be out for the whole duration 9of South by Southwest). We're working a lot of hours, putting in a lot of hours. But again, it's for the safety of the party-goers."

Long running Lady Gaga Kelly Osbourne fued finally ends at the Oscars.
Lady Gaga walks the Oscars red carpet in Versace
The ‘Fashion Police’ presenter and the singer have fired their fare share of twitter insults at each other over the past year but the hatchet seems to have finally been buried. Party host Elton John seems to have had a hand at reuniting the pair, perhaps teaching them that sorry doesn't have to be the hardest word when the two ladies bumped into each other at the last night.

The King and Queen of Celebdom are getting married later this year and here's the latest news we know regarding the wedding planning process
Kimye were in Paris recently, with wedding bells on both their minds
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are planning the most lavish ceremony they can conjure for their impending nuptials. Aquaman and his hobbit fiancé are masters of grandeur and without a doubt, their wedding ceremony will be off the scale and the kind of wedding ceremony us mere peons could only dream of attending. What we can do though is go through all the gritty details that have emerged so far and try to image what the spectacle might be like.
The twosome had initially planned to rent out the grandiose Palace of Versailles, on the outskirts of the French capital, Paris, for their wedding. Hoping to star in the most important event to take place in the impressive French palace since October 1919 (in their mind), these plans have since been scuppered by the pair, as Kim revealed last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Having been spotted perusing the grounds of the palace during a recent trip to Paris for Couture Week, which had been followed before by online rumours, the reality starlet said that she and Kanye will not be holding their wedding ceremony in the baroque Château de Versailles after all, as she said that she and her hubby were only at Versailles out of interest, having never visited the building before.
Razzie 'favourite' Adam Sandler is up for yet another Worst Actor gong and newbies Selena Gomez and Lady Gaga earn their first nods
It's awards season, which means it is the time when the stars of Hollywood gather together to congratulate themselves on another successful year of moviemaking. It is also the period when some of Hollywood's more questionable tastes are exposed and then routinely mocked, thanks to the annual Golden Raspberry Awards.
All of the Grown Ups 2 cast are up for an award, but it is Sandler who earns the most recognition
An established 'favourite' with the Razzies committee, Adam Sandler is up for his 19th, 20th and 21st Razzie nomination and might make it three Worst Actor wins in a row, with his role in Grown Ups 2 up against Johnny Depp in The Lone Ranger, Ashton Kutcher in Jobs, Jaden Smith in After Earth and Sylvester Stallone for pretty much all of his movies from 2013; Bullet to the Head, Escape Plan, and Grudge Match.
The Brit Awards jumped right into the middle of awards season by announcing their nominees, and there are plenty of artists from all over the world up for awards.
We are again right in the middle of awards season, and that doesn't just mean the Oscars. The Brit Awards have announced their 2014 nominations, and there aren't many surprises.
Bastille performs at Koko in London
The two leading artists are, as they should be, British acts. According to MTV, Disclosure and Bastille were each nominated for four awards, but the rest of the nominations were for artists all over the world.

Gaga blames former co-workers for delayed video release for 'ARTPOP' track 'Do What U Want' featuring R. Kelly.
Gaga means business!
The popstar has clearly been left deeply disappointed by her lack of support from the people she's been working with on her latest musical venture 'ARTPOP'. In a bold move, she has unearthed news of the real goings-on behind her management during the making and promotion of her album in a statement of apology on her fan site.
Lady Gaga gets very candid in a post on her own website as she opens up about the 'ARTPOP' delays and blames management betraying her, "I was not enough for some people. They wanted more."
The 27 year-old addressed the delay of her music video for 'Do What U Want', featuring R Kelly, which was directed by Terry Richardson.
A premiere date is not even set and, on Sunday (Jan 5th), Gaga explained why people close to her were at fault for its late release.
Instead of Las Vegas gambling, Gaga's hit was inspired by a truth she couldn't face up to.
Lady GaGa has never been shy about her sexuality but it seems that in the past she wasn't as keen to let on to her lovers that she was bisexual. Now considered a gay icon, Gaga attributes much of her fame, especially in the early stages, to the LGBT community and campaigns for gay rights across the world.
Lady Gaga Has Revealed The Inspiration For Her 'Poker Face' Hit.
The singer performed at an exclusive gig in December at London's Mayfair's private member's club, hosted by Belvedere vodka. In front of a star-studded audience, which included singer Adele, Gaga treated her fans to a little intimacy.

Lady Gaga will embark on a 25 date tour in North America to support her No.1 album 'ARTPOP', starting in May 2014.
Lady GaGa's No.1 album will be hitting the road as she has unveiled the dates for a North American tour in 2014 on Tuesday (Dec 3rd).
The arena concert tour will be titled 'artRave: The ARTPOP Ball Tour' and is scheduled to roll into 25 cities across the continent.
The 27 year-old will be kicking things off on May 4th 2014 in at the BB&T Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and will trek over the border in Canada until she wraps things up in Los Angeles' Staples Center on July 21st.
The 41-year-old rapper is back at the summit of the Billboard album chart.
As we enter the final month of 2013, Eminem dominates the album charts by quite a distance, beating out competition from Lady GaGa’s Artpop, which endured a dramatic fall to No. 8 with just 46,000 copies sold, to Slim Shady’s 120,000. That 82% decline was the biggest for a No. 1 debut this year.
Eminem has success in his signs once more
It marks a brilliant comeback for Eminem, whose last album Recovery was strong in sales but didn’t enamour the critics and was largely forgettable.

The AMA's best new artist outshone all other performances.
Ariana Grande may be relatively new on the music scene but at last night's American Music Awards the 20 year-old diva showed that not only was her performing ability on a par with the big hitters in the music biz, she could bring said heavy-weights to their knees with her tender rendition of her hit, 'Tattooed Heart.'
Ariana's AMAs Performance Brought Heavy-Weight Stars To Their Feet.
Clad in red sequins and channelling the diva-esque flair of Mariah Carey, Ariana eschewed frenzied lighting, dancing or costume changes in favour of a single spotlight, a retro microphone and four soulful male backing singers. For a star who has been busy breaking out with her debut album, Yours Truly, during the last 12 months, this was her chance to say to the world, "Hey! Here I am."
Dennis Rodman took the top spot, with Paula Deen and Anthony Weiner coming behind him
Dennis Rodman topped one of the least desirable end of year lists going, as GQ placed the North Korea-infatuated former NBA star at the top of their annual 'Least Influential People' list. Rodman took home the dubious honour, which was awarded to Mitt Romney last year, beating politicians, pop stars, actors and actresses to the top spot thanks to his strange connection with North Korea and its dictator Kim Jong Un.
Described as a "Q-list celebrity willing to commit borderline treason just to hang out with a dictator who himself aspires to be a Q-list celebrity," by QG (reprinted by the Associated Press), Rodman won't be letter his minute influence get in the way of continuing his self-imposed peace mission in the dictatorship as he continues to travel back and forth to the Asian nation. Rodman revealed this week that he intends on going back to North Korea for the umpteenth time next month, this time going for an exhibition basketball tour.
Disgraced celebrity chef Paula Deen took the number two spot, with her racial slurs and subsequent court case with a former employee seeing her once glittering cooking empire crumble around her. The racist restauranteur was followed closely by former U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner, whose sexting exploits returned to the news for a second time whilst he was running for the New York mayorship in July. GQ described the horny Democrat as " the saddest lecher in American politics, and that's saying something, because they're all lechers."

As we wade through our Lady Gaga pictures, which is the wackiest Lady Gaga outfit from the ARTPOP promotional tour?
To celebrate news that Mother Monster's new album ARTPOP had debuted at No.1 on the US Billboard 200 chart after selling 258,000 copies, we thought we'd dig out a whole load of Lady Gaga pictures and attempt to fathom which Lady GaGa outfits are the craziest from the ARTPOP promotional tour.
Lady Gaga at Macys in New York
The Applause singer topped the U.S chart for the second time, though it fell way short of the 1.1 million first-week sales of Born This Way in its opening week. In fact, Gaga is only twelfth on the best-selling debut list for 2013, way behind Miley Cyrus, Jay-Z, Drake and Daft Punk. Is the bubble about to burst? Probably not, and besides, Lady Gaga still has her outfits.

Lady Gaga claims the top spot on the US Billboard 200 album charts with 'ARTPOP', narrowly beating Eminem's 'Marshall Mathers LP 2'.
In its first week of release her 3rd studio set sold 258,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
This is the second debut chart topper of her career with 2011's 'Born This Way' being the first.

The veteran pop star earned most of her money through touring
Forbes have once again compiled their yearly list of highest earning celebrities in every possible respect and the winner for highest earning musician in 2013 is a very familiar face indeed: Madonna. The Queen of Pop came out on top despite tough competition and the fact that she didn't really create or release any new music in 2013. Call that staying power.
Madge earned big through her touring and business ventures
According to the magazine, Madge earned most of her money over the last year through touring, with her 'MDNA' tour grossing $305 million in total since it was launched, earning the singer a cool amount in the process. Her other major sources of income has been royalties, her clothing line and the launch of her new fragrance, Forbes revealed, putting her total earnings for the past 12 months at an estimated $125 million.

'Applause' singer Lady GaGa is seen checking her hair and make-up in a car mirror before getting out of the vehicle to face the awaiting paparazzi outside the 'Saturday Night Live' after party. The star smiles at photographers before signing autographs for fans; she even lets one male fan kiss her on the cheek before taking a photo with him.
Lady Gaga performed on SNL this weekend and it was mesmerising.
Lady GaGa hosted SNL for the very first time this past weekend and it was brilliant/over-the-top/weird/hilarious. And of course, she doubled as the musical guest for that evening, performing for the very first time 'Gypsy' off her shiny new album ARTPOP (less shiny now that the critics have had their way with it, but still).
It was Gaga's first time hosting this past weekend.
Gaga didn’t let the ambivalent reviews take away any of her sparkle though and belted out an emotional rendition of the song, complete with a hot pink grand piano to match the backing band’s outfits, a guitar trio (which the Lady herself joined at one point) and, of course, what performance would be complete without a tambourine player clad only in shiny purple trousers. Clearly, you have to watch this video.
Lady GaGa arrives at the official release party of her album 'Artpop' at the ArtRAVE gallery space in New York. She appears to be wearing some sort of futuristic black dress that looks like it's partially made out of plastic, along with a blonde wig, heels she can hardly walk in and an unusual headpiece.
Lady GaGa unveils the world's first flying dress, dubbed 'Volantis', alongside her technical team TechHaus at the launch and exhibition of her new album 'Artpop'. Two techies explain about making the battery-operate fibre optic dress with the latest drone technology before Gaga removes her white jumpsuit and dons a helmet to get strapped into the machine.
Gaga hosted SNL for the first time and performed a raunchy dance with R Kelly.
Lady GaGa's first time hosting Saturday Night Live was clearly immensely successful after the enigmatic popstar drew in the season's highest ratings. Not only did Gaga host but she was also the musical guest, meaning fans were treated to jazzed up versions of her new favourite songs, some unique Gaga jokes and plenty of exciting costumes.
Lady Gaga Hosted 'SNL' For The First Time.
Lady Gaga, who has just released her chart-topping third studio album ARTPOP, was a natural host, skilfully engaging the audience. She also performed two of her ARTPOP songs, a cabaret version of 'Applause' and the R Kelly collaboration 'Do What U Want' which was accompanied with a sexy routine from the charismatic duo.
Lady GaGa talks about her brand new 'ARTPOP' app at a press conference in Brooklyn where she introduces digital artist and app developer Max Weisel who helped her bring her app visions to life. She demonstrates the features of the new app on a tablet and also gives a moving speech about pop culture and its importance in human unity.
Lady GaGa wears a black, futuristic suit with exceptionally tall stilettos and weird steampunk goggles as she addresses the crowd at the Jeff Koons 'ARTPOP' installation in Brooklyn. She poses for photos while making a claw motion with her hand that she seems to have adopted as her sign.
Lady Gaga earned her third UK No.1 album as 'ARTPOP' knocks Eminem's 'Marshall Mathers LP 2' off the top spot.
The 27 year-old has secured her third UK No.1 album, with the help of the hit tracks 'Applause' and 'Do What U Want'.
Gaga has previously topped the charts in the UK with her debut studio album 'The Fame' (2008) and its follow-up 'The Fame Monster' (2009).

They didn't see nuthin' wrong with it
Lady GaGa was both the host and the musical guest on this weeks Saturday Night Live, and whilst the bulk of her appearance on the show was surprisingly tame for the shock-value singer, her duet with R Kelly midway through the show was much more sexually charged than anything else we've seen from the current season of the long-running sketch show.
The singer even dressed slightly less eccentric for the SNL gig
Becoming the second person - after Miley Cyrus - to serve as both the host and musical guest this season, Gaga had a lot on her plate come Saturday night, but at no point did it ever look as though she was overwhelmed or succumbing to any type of pressure. After poking fun of herself and performing some cuts from her latest album, ARTPOP, Gaga was joined on stage for the highlight performance of the night by her 'Do What You Want' collaborator R Kelly, at which point things really started getting hotter and heavier.

In a jam-packed week in showbiz news, Lady Gaga's 'ARTPOP' was finally released, Eminem's MMLP2 became one of the year's biggest debuts and two former rival boybands united.
'ARTPOP' Drops: Lady GaGa released her fourth studio album, ARTPOP, on the 11th November after a rollercoaster few months ensuring her new record would hit the charts running. However, middling reviews and an anti-climactic release after months of leaked songs, incentives to buy and mini monster melt-downs means Mother Monster's new work may have misfired. But the elusive Gaga showed that through it all she had a sense of humour when she parodied her infamous meat dress on SNL. See how here.
Miley Cyrus' MTV EMAs Joint: Pop star Miley Cyrus continued her whirlwind of controversy during this week's MTV Europe Music Awards, held in Amsterdam. Miley performed her Bangerz hits 'We Can't Stop' and 'Wrecking Ball' in her characteristically skimpy outfits. See photos here. But it was when she puffed on a very suspicious roll-up during her 'Best Video' acceptance that made the internet buzz. Find out more here.
Lady Gaga took part in a candid interview with Howard Stern and told the radio host she is open to inviting another female into the bedroom with her boyfriend, Taylor Kinney.
Lady GaGa has never been one to shy away from any aspects of her life, and this is no different when she takes part in a candid interview with Howard Stern.
In the very open-minded interview, Gaga told the host some of her and Kinney's intimate details and even revealed she would be more than happy to partake in a threesome.
Lady Gaga said her Glamour cover was too perfect.
Lady GaGa used her acceptance speech at the Glamour Women of the Year 2013 to vent at the magazine for making her look "too perfect" on the December cover.
Speaking on-stage at the Carnegie Hall in New York, Gaga said that, like her follow honoree Malala Yousafzai, she was going to use the speech to speak about her cover.
"I felt my skin looked too perfect. I felt my hair looked too soft," she told the audience, "I do not look like this when I wake up in the morning... I don't even look like this," referring to her wild wig and makeup for the evening.
Gaga is the cover star of December's 'Glamour' magazine, and the photo of her has been photoshopped like crazy
Lady GaGa stars as the front cover star of December's edition of Glamour magazine. In her feature interview, the star discusses her new album, her insecurities and beauty and body image in today's society, arguments that are kind of condescended against when you notice how photoshopped Gaga's picture is on the front of the magazine.
Gaga attended the event with her hair in a bunch, like the above photo, and an all-white suit
It turns out that Gaga was unwittingly photoshopped like mad for the cover picture, and in a show of defiance the singer has called out the magazine for doctoring her image so much. Gaga didn't just write a tweet or an open letter to dispute the image though, instead she went right to the source and called out the magazine in their own yard.
Lady Gaga tries for avant-garde, but manages to reach new hights in pop instead.
Lady GaGa set herself big goals for ARTPOP, released today, Tuesday, November 12. In her very own words, the album with its Jeff Koontz cover, was supposed to be “art imprinted onto pop culture.” But Gaga’s career has always been a bit hit-and-miss in its avant-garde aspect, which begs the question, which Gaga will we get to hear on ARTPOP? The meat dress-wearing, Marina Abramovic emulating envelope-pusher or the pastel clad bubble gum pop princess? The reviews are already starting to flood the interwebs, so let’s take a look at what the critics are saying.
The cover art is as busy as the album itself.
According to Billboard’s Jason Lipshutz, the album is perfect in its imperfections. It’s inconsistent and eclectic, but Gaga makes it work, “coherently channeling R&B, techno, disco and rock music as a pop artist while discussing sex, drugs, lust, God, fame and creativity, Lady Gaga has offered fans her most sonically and lyrically diverse album to date.”
I can't say that I've ever considered myself a huge fan of Lady GaGa but no-one can deny that there's always something unique and intriguing about her. I approached 'Artpop' with an open mind; I was aware of the dangers of expectation and subsequent disappointment from such excessively hyped albums and I was staunchly uninterested in the worldwide phenomenon that was her second album 'Born This Way', so I was neither hopeful nor sceptical - although the mix of the likes of DJ White Shadow, Rick Ruben and Zedd in production did seem welcoming.
Album opener 'Aura'; the single co-produced by Infected Mushroom and Zedd that was used in the trailer for Robert Rodriguez's 'Machete Kills', Gaga's acting debut; offers a mournful, lo-fi opening verse from Gaga which almost sounds like an old-style Bond theme with a Spanish twang (quite literally) and is probably the album's main highlight. Other pretty fab openings came with the headbang-worthy power rock vocals of guitar fuelled 'MANiCURE', our first taste of hip hop with 'Jewels N' Drugs' featuring T.I., Too short and Twista, and the incredibly catchy 'Swine' ('I know, I know, I know, I know you want me/ You're just a pig inside a human body.' - that's a line that I'll be humming for a long time to come). However, the problem with all these tracks is that, although they have the potential to be exceptional, Gaga just can't seem to help throwing in a generic dance tune halfway through and there's no need when they start out so well. The woman we think we know so well for speaking her mind appears to have lost some of her nerve.
This was also visible in the album's structure. Tracks two and three, 'Venus' and 'G.U.Y.' are incredibly alike. Both mention Greek Gods and Goddesses - Aphrodite being the main one - and they have similar cosmic hooks. Putting these two songs so close together takes away from their sound a little as there's less distinction. And yet, 'Jewels N' Drugs' and 'MANiCURE' were side-by-side despite being totally different; this is a bit of a shock to the system, but is a good way of showing off the eclecticism of the album and should've been taken into account much more frequently throughout the rest of the tracklisting.

Yep, you read that right, a 'flying dress'
Lady GaGa is known for her wild and eccentric fashion choices, so whenever she shows up to a concert or red carpet event there is always a sense of anticipation surrounding her arrival as people wait to see what wild costume she has on. Her unusual fashion trends have gotten so out of hand that they barely get mentioned nowadays, that is unless she is wearing something that really does warrant attention.
Outfit choices like this barely get mentioned anymore
The Grammy-winning singer did just this when she appeared on stage at the Brooklyn Navy Yard on Sunday, where she held a launch party for her new album ARTPOP. But it wasn't to be ARTPOP's night after all, as the night was all about the flying dress, or the Volantis as Gaga called it.
