Lady Antebellum and rising star Easton Corbin will be leading the way at the first annual American Country Awards after scoring seven nominations apiece.
The country trio will compete for the prestigious Artist of the Year: Duo or Group title, while its disc's title track Need You Now has earned the band recognition for Single of the Year and Music Video of the Year.
Lady Antebellum's Need You Now disc will go up against six-time nominee Carrie Underwood's Play On for Album of the Year, as well as Miranda Lambert (Revolution), Josh Turner (Haywire) and Luke Bryan (Doin' My Thing).
Corbin is recognised in the new artist category, while his single A Little More Country Than That is shortlisted for Single of the Year: Breakthrough Artist.
Underwood and Lambert will go head-to-head with Taylor Swift, Jewel and Reba MCEntire to be named Artist of the Year: Female, while the men's trophy will be a close-fought affair between Keith Urban, Brad Paisley and Kenny Chesney, alongside Bryan and Jason Aldean.
The winners of the American Country Awards will be unveiled at a Las Vegas ceremony on 6 December (10) and will be aired live across the U.S.
