Country trio Lady Antebellum have postponed a handful of tour dates scheduled for next summer (13), to make sure pregnant leading lady Hillary Scott can give birth at home.

The Need You Now hitmaker and her husband Chris Tyrrell recently announced they're set to become parents in 2013 in a post on Twitter.com, which read, "Chris & I are excited to announce that our Christmas gift has arrived a little early this year! We are having a Baby! We feel so blessed!!!"

Now the group has put a limit on its travel commitments and pulled the plug on a number of gigs surrounding the 26-year-old's due date as she prepares to become a first-time mum.

Concerts affected by the cancellations include a show in North Platte, Nebraska on 21 June (13), a performance at Wyoming's Cheyenne Frontier Days on 20 July (13), a stop at the Big Valley Jamboree in Alberta, Canada on 4 August (13), and a gig at the York County Fair in Pennsylvania on 7 September (13).
