Kylie Minogue is to perform at this year's Nobel peace prize concert, it has been announced.
The Australian pop singer will sing in the tribute concert which this year jointly honours the United Nation's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and environmental campaigner Al Gore.
Together former US presidential candidate Mr Gore and the IPCC were awarded the 2007 Nobel peace prize for their efforts in spreading awareness of climate change.
The concert will take place on December 11th at the Oslo Spektrum Arena, one day after the prize ceremony.
Appearing with Minogue among the concert's others performers are artists including Alicia Keys, KT Tunstall, Annie Lennox and Melissa Etheridge.
The 2007 concert will be hosted by Hollywood stars Uma Therman and Tommy Lee Jones.
Last year's concert, which honoured development banker Muhammad Yunus, saw performances from Rihanna, Simply Red and Lionel Richie.
Minogue will add the date on to the end of a quick European tour promoting her tenth studio album, X.
She is playing dates in Finland on December 9th and 10th after taking in concerts in Holland, Belgium, Germany and Sweden.
