Kylie Minogue says it's a ''dream come true'' to be headlining this year's BBC Proms in the Park.
The 'All The Lovers' singer will be the star performer at the annual event in London's Hyde Park on September 8 and she says she can't wait to get on stage.
She said: ''I'm delighted to be performing at one of the UK's most outstanding nights of the musical calendar, and to sing in front of thousands of people whilst being accompanied by the legendary BBC Concert Orchestra in such a special year is truly a dream come true.''
Proms in the Park is the annual 'Last Night of the Proms' spectacular broadcast live on BBC Radio 2. It is now in its 17th year, and is Britain's largest outdoor classical music event and a rousing finale to two months of the BBC Proms.
Proms in the Park fans across the UK are able to tune in to the concert live on BBC Radio 2 or for selected coverage by pressing the Red Button during the Last Night of the Proms on BBC TV. The concert will be available on BBC iPlayer for seven days after the event.
Also on the bill at the Proms in the Park are The Gypsy Queens, a band of former buskers who formed in Nice, France, and have since performed for stars including Sir Elton John, Rod Stewart, Quincy Jones and Prince William.
Tickets are on sale now via bbc.co.uk/promsinthepark and by phone from See tickets on 0844 209 7353.
