Acclaimed martial arts movie Kung Fu Hustle and arthouse film 2046 were the big winners at yesterday's (27MAR05) HONG KONG FILM AWARDS.

Director Stephen Chow's Kung Fu Hustle was named Best Film among its six-honour haul at the 24th annual prizegiving, while Wong Kar-Wai's romance swept the top acting honours.

Former Cannes Film Festival winner Tony Leung and Crouching Tiger, HIDDEN DRAGON star Zhang Ziyi claimed the top acting awards for their roles in 2046, which also claimed six prizes.

Meanwhile, DEREK YEE's thriller ONE NITE IN MONGKOK claimed Best Director and Best Script prizes.
