Scottish singer/songwriter KT Tunstall finds it difficult to concentrate writing the follow-up to her hit debut album EYE TO THE TELESCOPE, because her mother keeps offering ideas.
The SUDDENLY I SEE hitmaker, 30, was named British Female Solo Artist at the Brit Awards in London last night (15FEB06).
Tunstall admits her interfering mother is trying to persuade her to write a socially-conscious song in a bid to combat the binge-drinking problem affecting young people.
She says, "My mum keeps suggesting I write a song that says, 'stop drinking' in it so it would get picked up for an anti-drinking advert.
"I'm like, 'No, Mum.'"
