Having welcomed their first child together earlier this year, former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional Kristina Rihanoff and her partner Ben Cohen spoke about their potential marriage plans.

The couple met back in 2013 when they were partnered together on the 11th series of the BBC One favourite. Former England rugby star Cohen was married to his childhood sweetheart, Abby Blayney, at the time, but the notorious ‘Strictly curse’ struck and they fell in love.

39 year old Rihanoff gave birth to the couple’s first daughter, Milena, back in June 2016, having announced the pregnancy when she was a contestant on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ in January. Less than a year later, they’re discussing the possibility of tying the knot – but not just yet.

“I imagine we will get married at some point,” 38 year old Cohen told Hello! magazine recently. “Having a baby later on in life, we were both very set in our ways so it has been a big change for both of us.”

Cohen’s marriage to Abby, with whom he has twin eight year old daughters, was only finalised back in March this year.

“It’s not something we’re ruling out. We will see what the future holds. But with a baby, it’s not something we’ve got time to think about at the moment,” Rihanoff admitted. “And I want to be in better shape on my wedding day than I am now.”

“It’s a different life and I wouldn’t want to swap it,” she continued, talking about new motherhood. “When I wake up in the morning and Mila is smiling at me, it’s just the best feeling in the world.”

With the 2016 series of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in full flow, the Russian-born dancer doesn’t miss the show. “I was ready for a change in my life. It's not unusual for dancers to leave it a little later to have babies because you can't work on a show like ‘Strictly’ and have a baby. It's very, very demanding.”
