Former TV reality star Kristin Cavallari isn't going to get her children vaccinated.

The 27 year-old, who is currently pregnant with her second child, recently appeared on Fox show 'The Independent' and revealed why she and husband Jay Cutler came to this decision.

On Thursday (March 13th), Cavallari told the show's host Lisa Kennedy Montgomery, "We decided not to vaccinate."

"You know what, I've read too many books about autism," Cavallari said. "There is a pediatric group called Homestead or, shoot, Homestead or Home First -- now I have pregnancy brain, I got them confused," she continued.

Adding, "But they've never vaccinated any of their children and they've never had one case of autism. And now, one in 88 boys is autistic, which is a really scary statistic."

Montgomery argued back, "Well, my mom vaccinated us, and she doesn't have any cases of autism either. Isn't that weird?"

"But the vaccinations have changed over the years," Cavallari replied. "There's more mercury and other [stuff]..."

The mom to 18 month-old son, Camden, reiterated her comments on Friday morning when appearing on 'Fox and Friends'.

"You know, it's not something that I wanted to publicly come out and say," Cavallari said. "I was in an interview when it came up and it wasn't what I was expecting."

"Listen, to each their own," she continued. "I understand both sides of it. It's our personal choice, and, you know, if you're really concerned about your kid get them vaccinated."

These views are the same to 'The View' co-host Jenny McCartney, who has written several books on the condition, constantly brings up the link between vaccinations and autism. McCartney's son was diagnosed with the condition in 2005 at age 2.
