Lady Gaga has shown her support for Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson and called for the press to leave the couple alone, whilst they work through their relationship problems. Mother Monster was so moved by Kristen and Rob's plight (It recently emerged that Kristen was unfaithful to R-Patz whilst she was filming Snow White and the Huntsman) that she posted a message on Twitter, for her several millions of followers to see. The message read "geez this kirstew rob stuff is brutal. makes me sad the way press acts. hope they're ok."
Yesterday, Kristen publicly confessed to the fling with the movie's director, Rupert Sanders. She issued a statement to the celebrity magazine People, saying "I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardised the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry." Gaga's message of support has been re-tweeted over 10,000 times, though she hasn't followed up on the comments at all.
Although Kristen and Rupert met on the set of Snow White and the Huntsman, the affair is alleged to have happened after filming had finished, the NME reports today (July 26, 2012). Sanders is married to Liberty Ross, who also starred in the movie. They have two children together.
