Kristen Stewart is currently leading the race to play 'Snow White' in the forthcoming movie 'Snow White and the Huntsman'.
KRISTEN STEWART, the 20-year-old American actress, looks set to fend off stiff competition from the likes of Riley Keough, Felicity Jones, Emily Browning and ALICIA VIKANDER to play 'Snow White' in a forthcoming adaptation of the timeless fairy-tale, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Casting for the film is thought to be well under way and film company Universal have reportedly 'made overtures' towards Stewart in the hope that she will drop her existing commitments to take the lead role. 'Lord of the Rings' star Viggo Mortenson is considering the part of 'the huntsman' while the South African actress Charlize Theron is being tipped to play the evil queen. The German born actor Michael Fassbender is also rumoured to be taking up an as yet unspecified part in the film. The movie, directed by newcomer RUPERT SANDERS will tell the tale of the huntsman who is ordered to take Snow White into the woods and kill her but who instead chooses to let her go.
KRISTEN STEWART is currently filming 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn', and her latest movie 'On The Road', based on Jack Kerouac's classic novel, is set to hit cinemas later this year. 'Snow White and the Huntsman' is currently scheduled for release over the Christmas holidays of 2012.
