Kristen Stewart will play a 'new look' Snow White in the forthcoming movie 'Snow White And the Huntsman'. The first promo snap from the flick has been released, featuring the actress donning a full body suit of armour complete with sword and shield - far removed from the typical 'fairy-tale' image of the princess that audiences have grown accustomed to, reports MTV News.
In a new publicity shot, the 'Twilight' star wears full medieval attire, with the accompanying caption reading, "Kristen Stewart is Snow White'. Speaking at Comic-Con last week, producer Joe Roth claimed the contemporary adaptation would be "tough, rough and active" with Stewart shunning the typical sweet and innocent representation of Snow White. Discussing her post-Twilight role, the actress said, "It's not a little girl sitting by a well with little tweety birds telling her what to do and where to go.The costume makes you feel kind of strong occasionally, sometimes, but I kind of feel tiny, my pinhead sticks out of these enormous things".
'Snow White and the Huntsman' features an all-star cast, including Charlize Theron as 'The Evil Queen' and Ian McShane as 'Caesar'. The film is scheduled to hit cinemas in summer 2012.
