Kristen Stewart pays no attention to people's opinion of her and doesn't think it is ''terrible'' to be hated.
Kristen Stewart ''doesn't care'' if people hate her.
The 'On the Road' actress - who admitted cheating on boyfriend Robert Pattinson with married director Rupert Sanders earlier this year - didn't intend to make people ''angry'' with her actions, but insists public opinion has no effect on her.
She said: ''It's not a terrible thing if you're either loved or hated.
''But honestly. I don't care because it doesn't keep me from doing my s**t. And I apologise to everyone for making them so angry. It was not my intention.''
The 22-year-old actress also admitted the attention she has received because of her high-profile made her ''close off'' from other people, but she is now making more of an effort to maintain a normal social life.
She added in an interview with The Daily Beast: '' ''It's a little annoying having to be so compartmentalised.
''I go from box to box to box. Like right now, this is so crazy 'cause we're out at a restaurant. But I'm going out a lot more now. I was starting to get closed off and self-conscious, and I'm trudging forth into the world more often.''
