Kristen Stewart and Jesse Eisenberg will star in 'American Ultra', the upcoming comedy which centres on a stoner and his girlfriend as they run from a government task force.
Kristen Stewart has been cast in American Ultra.
Stewart's career has not slowed down post-Twilight as she has recently wrapped Camp X-Ray and Sils Maria. She'll soon be on the set of Snow White and the Huntsman 2, which has be slated for a 2015 release, as well as Anaesthesia. In the latter film, Stewart plays a small part in the movie which follows a group of New Yorkers whose lives have been changed by a philosophy professor, as E! reported.
American Ultra will be directed by Numa Nourizadeh, who also worked on Project X. Little has been revealed about the upcoming movie although producer Anthony Bergman, for Likely Story, commented on the film, as THR reported. Bergman said "simply put, American Ultra will be the most fun you can possibly have in a movie theatre without the use of drugs, fireworks or canola oil."American Ultra is also being produced by David Alpert and Britton Rizzio for Circle of Confusion.
Jesse Eisenberg will star opposite Stewart in American Ultra.
The film promises to star Eisenberg as a stoner named Mike, living with his girlfriend Phoebe, played by Stewart. They couple become the focus of a government operation and their lives change forever. Other than the basics, little is known of the plot and other members of the cast.
Max Landis wrote the script. Landis is responsible for the hit science fiction movie Chronicles which earned $126 million worldwide, with a budget of $12 million.
Kristen Stewart has maintained a busy career schedule since Twilight finished.
