Kristen Bell will star in 'Scream 4'.

The 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' actress will join an all-star cast for the fourth instalment of the horror movie franchise, which will also feature original 'Scream' stars Courteney Cox, Neve Campbell and David Arquette alongside newcomers Emma Roberts and Hayden Panettiere.

According to USA Today, newlywed actress Anna Paquin will also make a guest appearance in the film.

Previous films in the bloodied franchise have seen brief appearances by Jada Pinkett Smith and Drew Barrymore.

The film - which is being directed by Wes Craven - is currently being shot in Michigan, US with a release planned in April 2011.

The fourth movie in the series is being touted as a reboot of the original first three movies, with new, younger characters facing the terror of the murdered known as Ghostface, or The Killer.

'Scream 4' is expected to lead to a second trilogy of films, with both 'Scream 5' and 'Scream 6' being considered.

Kristen can next be seen in 'Burlesque' alongside Cher and Christina Aguilera.
