Kris Kristofferson always dedicates HERE COMES THAT RAINBOW AGAIN to late great Johnny Cash - after learning the tune was among the deceased country legend's favourite.
The singer/songwriter now makes a point of playing the tune at concerts - and making sure he salutes his old friend.
Kristofferson says, "I read in his autobiography, Johnny Cash said that this might be his favourite song, so I sing it for him every time I sing it."
The singer admits it's a tough song to sing because it always reminds him of an emotional part of John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath.
He says, "It was (a scene) that always choked me up."
