Kris Kristofferson and Elvis Costello will lead the cast of John Mellencamp's new musical, GHOST BROTHERS OF DARKLAND COUNTY.
The rocker has been working on the project with author Stephen King for years, but now the stage show is ready for its debut and will open in Atlanta, Georgia in September (10).
Rosanne Cash, Sheryl Crow and boxer Joe Frazier are also reported to be part of the production.
The show is described as "a sultry Southern gothic mystery with a blues-tinged, guitar-driven score" and focuses on the story of the death of two brothers and a young girl and the legend that grows out of the tragedy.
