Kourtney Kardashian has announced she is expecting her second child with long-time beau Scott Disick - the couple are already parents to two-year-old son Mason. In a statement to E! News, the eldest Kardashian sister spoke of being "thrilled" at the news.
The announcement will be a welcome relief for the famous brood, who have kept a low-profile in recent weeks following Kim's shock divorce from Nba star Kris Humphries. Revealing the news, Kourtney gushed, "Scott and I are so excited to announce that we are expecting our second child and are thrilled to be expanding the love in our family". The pregnancy is seemingly perfectly timed, given the 32-year-old has just launched her own web series, Kourtney's Mommy Blog, where she dishes on the skills she's learnt raising Mason and shares her kid tips, parenting philosophies and fashion advice. The American socialite and her boyfriend Scott welcomed Mason Dash Disick at the Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles back in 2008 and the family have since appeared regularly on E!'s hit reality show 'Keeping up with the Kardashians'. The first child of Kris Jenner and the late defence attorney Robert Kardashian, Kourtney first rose to fame in the 2005 series 'Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive', about celebrities who attempted to earn money for charity.
As mentioned, news of baby number two will be well received in the Kardashian household, with Kim recently launching divorce proceedings against hubby Kris after just 72 days of marriage. The pair tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Montecito, California, this summer.
