Konnie Huq is pregnant with her first child.

The former 'Xtra Factor' host and her husband Charlie Brooker - the creator of controversial Channel 4 satirical drama 'Black Mirror' - are expecting a baby boy next April and the couple are said to be thrilled with the news.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Konnie and Charlie are over the moon. It is just what they wanted and all their family are thrilled."

Konnie - who also presented children's show 'Blue Peter' for 11 years - has always wanted a family and admitted she was "a bit annoyed" when she was offered the 'Xtra Factor' hosting role last year as it meant she had to put her baby plans on hold.

She said: "I was a bit annoyed really because I was getting ready to settle down and have babies."

The 36-year-old presenter - who tied the knot with Charlie in Las Vegas last year - was axed from the ITV2 'x factor' spin-off series in 2010 after failing to impress viewers, and was later replaced by current hosts Caroline Flack and Olly Murs.
