Just a quick note to let you know that Klak Tik's new album 'The Servants' is out today. Currently getting arirplay across 6 Music and XFM, and with some great words from Mojo and Uncut under their belts (as well as a Clash Track of The Day), it's proving to be a really special album. The last record received a 9 / 10 review from NME too.
The album was put together in a makeshift recording studio inside a chapel underneath the Parys Mountain in Wales - the vocals were actually recorded underground - and later completed at their East London base. The resulting record I feel is one for fans of Bon Iver, Sufjan Stevens and James Mercer. Klak Tik themselves cite influences such as Dirty projectors, Grizzly Bear, Elliott Smith, Kishi Bashi, Efterklang and The Antlers.
Klak Tik will also support Slow Club at Proud, Camden, on March 14th.
Everybody expected Adele’s new album to break records, but not this quickly! Nielsen Music...
