The ‘Game of Thrones’ hero is going to the dark side for his latest role.
Kit Harington has been confirmed as paying the villain in the new Call of Duty game, Infinite Warfare. Rumours that the ‘Game of Thrones’ star had a role in the game started on Thursday (June 9) when a video circulated of him in what looked like a motion capture sphere. Now the news has been officially confirmed and Kit has been revealed as the franchise’s newest villain.
Kit Harington will play the villain in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
Infinite Warfare's narrative director, Taylor Kurosaki told Digital Spy: “Kit is an amazing talent, and the consummate pro. Our story is about an epic showdown of opposing forces, and Kit immersed himself into the role and truly became the embodiment of the enemy, the Settlement Defense Front. We can't wait for fans to see Kit play an entirely different kind of character.”

Infinity Ward head Dave Stohl added: “It meant a lot to us to develop the role into everything it could be. We're excited about the performance Kit delivered and can't wait to get it out to the public. We're committed to delivering a compelling story with rich character depth, and this was a special opportunity to add to our fantastic cast.”
It was also announced that director Guy Ritchie will be working on the game as a creative advisor. "Guy Ritchie is a friend of the franchise, so it was great to have him back to work with us, assisting in bringing Kit Harington's character to life in Infinite Warfare,” Stohl added.
The official Twitter account of Call of Duty also confirmed Harington’s role by posting a short video of him in a motion capture suit and writing: “Go behind the scenes to see the face of the enemy with this sneak peek from the #InfiniteWarfare motion capture set.”

Harington recently shocked fans by shaving off his famous beard, however he later revealed it was for an upcoming role. “I'm doing what's called a shave test or something', he told Digital Spy. “For my next job I have to work out how quickly I can grow a beard. To do that, I have to shave. So I'm not having to take selfies everyday, it's not fun!”
