Kirstie Alley has received hundreds of supportive 'tweets' from fans after she fell to the ground during last night's Dancing With The Stars, reports CBS News. The 60-year-old actress took a tumble during her rumba routine with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
31-year-old Maksim appeared to lose his footing during the performance and he immediately apologised to fans after the show, telling Twitter followers, "To all the fans...I'm sorry! It will never happen again and I will never fall". However, Alley defended her professional partner today, tweeting, "Maks is too humble.. we all know it takes Two to Tango..on our feet or on our asses...it takes Two ..I will do better from now on". As fans flooded the American actress' page with messages of support, Alley posted another tweet that read, "Woke up to all of your supportive tweets..humbled..It's good to know that u are in this game with us come Rain or come Shine....thank u". The actress had started well in the competition and topped the leader-board after the season premiere.
After last night's mishap, Kirstie Alley was awarded 21 points, leaving her trailing this week's leaders Petra Nemcova and Hines Ward who both scored 25 points.
