Kiowa Gordon, the American actor best known for playing Embry Call in the 'Twilight' movies, has been arrested in Arizona. Gordon was taken into custody by police on Tuesday (9th August 2011) on suspicion of Dui and because of an outstanding warrant, reports CBS affiliate Kpho.
It is reported the actor is currently being held at the Maricopa County Jail on $1,000 bond. An arrest warrant was originally issued for the actor in connection to his guilty plea for charges of possession and use of drug paraphernalia, and he is now scheduled to appear at Mesa City Court on 18th August 2011. Kiowa is reportedly part of the Hualapai tribe of Arizona but recently relocated to Los Angeles - he is also a Mormon. During an interview with MTV News in 2009, Gordon explained his Twilight character, saying, "I am Embry Call; he's a Native American. He turns into a wolf. So he gets some extra baggage going there - and then he saves humans from vampires, basically".
Kiowa has recently been working on the final instalment in the Twilight franchise, 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn'. Part one of the movie is scheduled for release on 18th November 2011, while the final part will follow on 16th November 2012.
