Rockers Kings Of Leon were shocked when they rocketed to fame in America, because they loved the anonymity of living in the U.S.
The Sex on Fire hitmakers enjoyed retreating to their native Tennessee so they could experience some normality after the frenzy of touring abroad.
But the rockers are frustrated because they are now so popular in the U.S. they are recognised wherever they go.
Speaking at the MTV Movie Awards, frontman Caleb Followill says, "We've always had success in other countries and never here. I've always enjoyed coming back to America and walking around with people not knowing who I was."
And he joked the band members tip off photographers when they venture out, adding: "We call them a lot of the time, we say 'We're going to Target'."
