King's X rocker Dug Pinnick is recovering well after undergoing a hernia operation paid for by the band's loyal followers.
The singer/bassist needed the surgery for some time but couldn't afford the procedure due to a lack of medical insurance, so he started a crowdfunding drive on GiveForward.com in May (13).
Fans rallied round and donated $26,000 (£16,774) to help Pinnick, and he finally went under the knife on Wednesday (03Jul13).
He kept followers up to date with his progress by posting a series of snaps on his Twitter.com page showing his time in the hospital, ending with a photograph of himself leaving the hospital in a wheelchair.
