Kim Kardashian West says hiding her pregnancy at the 2015 Met Gala was ''the most difficult'' thing she has done all year.

The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star, who is expecting a baby boy with husband Kanye West in December, claims walking the red carpet in a sheer white dress at the prestigious event in New York City in early May was very challenging because she was ''less than two months pregnant and had nausea.''

The 34-year-old beauty said: ''The most difficult thing of this year was going to the Met Gala because I was a little less than two months pregnant and had nausea. I tried to eat very healthy the week before--chicken soup and salad. But my dress was transparent so I tried to suck in my stomach on the red carpet.''

The reality TV star also credits Kanye for helping her to keep the news a secret until they were ready to announce it on her family's reality TV show later that month.

She told Vogue Espana magazine: ''My husband and I came up with a way that I could only take photos from the front while I was holding my breath and when I turned I would let out my breath and stay very close to Kanye to hide.''

Meanwhile, Kim, who also has two-year-old daughter North with the 'FourFiveSeconds' hitmaker, feels a lot more confident that her children will be able to handle growing up in the spotlight now.

She said: ''With the first pregnancy I told Kanye that it wouldn't be easy to grow up being our daughter because of what our daughter would have to put up with. I prayed for it. Now I know that she [North] will be able to handle it.''
