In video footage shot on Wednesday (1st October) Kardashian is seen leaving her hotel to head for the airport. She goes to her car and has a quick peek inside before heading back into the hotel. A few moments later she appears with North in her arms, as Radaronline reports.

The video doesn't necessary indicate child abandonment as North hardly looks perturbed at her mother's short absence but reports have blown the incident out of proportion.

31-year-old Kardashian certainly thought so and tweeted her horror (and amusement) at the existence of such a story. On Friday (3rd October) she wrote a series of tweets addressing the matter. The first explained how she had heard of the story - on the radio - and how she thought it was ridiculous.

Kardashian wrote "Heard on the radio today some story that I forgot my daughter at our hotel as I'm leaving for the airport. Are you kidding me?!?!?! LOL".  She further explained how she had gone to the car without North to first check the car seat was secure as they'd previously had "car seat issues".

In her final tweet in the series, Kardashian made light of the situation and mocked her critics for thinking North would be left in the lobby entirely by herself. Kardashian joked "Oh wait she [North] was waiting to check out!"

To be honest, it wouldn't surprise us if North was checking out of their hotel! She's been attending some fairly grown up events and was even front row at the Givenchy show on Monday (29th September) besides her mother and father, Kanye West
