PIXIES star Kim Deal has blasted classic rock bands who strive to make new music - because it's never as good as their old work.
The bassist admits she boycotts new music from bands like the Rolling Stones, because she isn't interested in 'moving on' as a listener.
She says, "I heard the last Rolling Stones record was good. The thing is I don't even care if it's the best thing they've ever done, I just wouldn't listen to it. And it's not anything that they're doing wrong. As a listener, I don't want to hear about it."
Deal, who has made no secret of her reluctance to make a new album with her former band, now insists her bandmates are to blame for the plans never coming to fruition.
She adds, "I was kind of waiting for Charles (Francis) and (guitarist) Joey Santiago to get together and do demos and they never did."
