Khloe Kardashian feels insecure about her looks since becoming famous.

The reality TV star has candidly admitted she struggles with her weight and says she understands why people get so caught up with their image in Hollywood, especially since she is constantly compared to older sisters Kim and Kourtney.

Speaking to the new UK issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, she said: ''I probably thought I was prettier before I entered the spotlight because being compared to somebody else every day does sort of beat up your spirit and soul.

''After my father died [in 2003], I gained a lot of weight, and then I was in the spotlight. I was quickly criticized for not being a cookie-cutter sister like Kourtney and Kim.

''I understand why so many people in this industry have eating disorders or want plastic surgery, and I'm proud I've done things the healthy way.''

However, statuesque beauty Khloe would never resort to surgery to lose weight and is more concerned with whether she feels confident and healthy than with her dress size.

She added: ''I don't care what size I am; I care about how I look. If my jeans are tight and I have a little muffin top, then OK, I have to cut down on the carbs.

''I don't expect to be a size 2 [UK size 6] and nor do I want to be. I'm 5ft 10ins and I like being curvy.''
