As bored as everyone is getting with the overexposed Khloe Kardashian/Lamar Odom drama, no one is more tired of it than Khloe herself. The famous-for-being-famous reality star revealed as much in an interview with Cosmopolitan UK. The newly divorced (or at least in the process) Khloe can’t wait for the year to be over. But she is also keeping a surprisingly positive outlook on life, despite the trouble.

Khloe Kardashian is obviously keeping her chin up.

“I love the new year, new beginnings,” she said for Cosmo. “I need a good fresh start; I’m excited for this year to be over with… You only live once so let’s make that one time perfect. We can’t fix our mistakes and imperfections, so let’s have fun. You get what you give out in life.”

She’s also got some resolutions already lined up for 2014 – and not ones you might expect. Unlike a lot of folks, the Kardashian sister is happy with herself right now and wants to take 2014 to celebrate it.

It's obviously paying off.

“In the past year I think I’ve lost around 30lbs, and I’m feeling good… I’ve worked very hard on my body so I think now I can sex it up a little! My 2014 mission is to wear a crop top with jeans. I’ve never done that so it has to happen one day.”

Of course, the newly slimmed down, ever-positive Kardashian sister also has a message of encouragement for other lady folk – because she couldn’t end the interview without one, natch.

“Women can be quick to attack each other, when we should be building each other up,” the Kardashian sister commented. “There are enough people out there who’ll put you down. We should be each other’s biggest cheerleaders. I’m not happy with my arms, so if I see a girl with great arms I compliment her. It doesn’t make me hate her; it motivates me to lift more weights.”

Khloe is following her own advice.

She goes on to share more surprisingly thoughtful insights about social pressure, growing up in the spotlight and overcoming grief (in relation to her father’s death in 2003.) Who knew Khloe Kardashian could teach us so much about life. It doesn’t hurt that she looks like a messy-haired unicorn in the accompanying photoshoot, of course.

The holidays probably helped.
