Less than three months after it made its TV debut, Khloe Kardashian’s talk show ‘Kocktails with Khloe’ is being cancelled, with some confusion as to who ordered it to be axed. Some reports indicate that the star herself pulled out of production to focus on her personal life.

After all, it was only less than two months ago that FYI had green-lit another 15 episodes of the show, to add to its original commission of eight episodes back in July last year. But apparently, with ratings gradually falling after a great start, and Khloe’s hectic schedule, both parties were ready for it to come to an end.

“After 14 episodes, 'Kocktails with Khloé' will end its run on Wednesday, April 20th,” a spokesperson for FYI Network said in a statement to New York Daily News. “We are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Khloé and thank her for her hard work and unique voice that she brought to the series.”

The talk show, which opened to viewing figures of 347,000 when it debuted on January 20th, has featured a number of big-name guests such as Snoop Dogg, Kendra Wilkinson and ‘Jersey Shore’s ‘Snooki’. When it comes to an end next month, the show is set for a big final blowout with Khloe’s sister Kim, her brother-in-law Kanye West and celeb couple John Legend and Chrissy Teigen booked as guests.

However, things might have come to a rather sharp and abrupt end behind the scenes, with disharmony between star and network. Us Weekly claims a source told them: “Khloe wanted to stop doing the show to focus on other ventures. They had a really good run but Khloe wanted it to end as she has so many things going on right now.”

31 year old Khloe was reportedly not prepared to film a second series after the current 23-episode run, expressing much more of an interest in other projects in a recent talk with FYI, according to TMZ, so the network seems to have responded by cutting the show prematurely.
