My Bloody Valentine rocker Kevin Shields has launched his own record label.
The singer has teamed up with musician pal Charlotte Marionneau to found Pickpocket, and the company's first release is a new album by Marionneau's band, Le Volume Courbe. Theodaurus Rex is set to hit stores on 14 November (11).
He tells NME.com, "I was like, 'I'll just get rid of a few pedals that I've had lying around for ten years and we'll start a label.'"
And although Shields has no plans to release any new My Bloody Valentine material on his own imprint, the frontman hints the group hasn't stopped making music, teasing the possible release of a "guitar track".
My Bloody Valentine has not released a studio album since 1991's Loveless.
