He defends himself against Kesha supporters following Friday's ruling.
Dr. Luke has finally spoken out about his ongoing legal battle with Kesha, who's desperate to be released from her Kemosabe Records contract after alleging that the producer sexually and emotionally abused her. In a public statement, Dr. Luke once again denies the allegations and explains his side of the story.
Dr. Luke denies all allegations made by Kesha
The furore over Kesha's denial of a preliminary injunction from the New York Supreme Court judge has been so intense, that Dr. Luke - real name Lukasz Gottwald - has been driven to finally break his silence on the issue. No doubt he's been receiving a flurry of threats and abusive comments from Kesha's supporters recently, as the world remains divided over whether or not the incident of Luke apparently raping Kesha took place or not.
'Until now I haven't commented on the lawsuits, which should be resolved in court not here on Twitter', Luke began in a statement to his followers. 'It's a shame that there's so much speculation out there basing itself on so little information. The only truly objective person who knows the facts is the judge. The judge did not rule in Kesha's favor on Friday.'
He goes on to add that while he does understand why people feel so strongly sympathetic towards Kesha, he wants people to realise the injustice that many false accusations bring to professional people. 'I understand why people without all the information are speaking out. I can appreciate their compassion. But lives can get ruined when there's a rush to judgment before all the facts come out. Look what happened at UVA, Duke etc', he said. 'Of course any sane person is against rape and sexual assault but everybody who is commenting is doing so without knowledge or facts. They are getting behind an allegation only - motivated by money.'
Then came the flat denial. 'I didn't rape Kesha and I have never had sex with her', he insists. 'Kesha and I were friends for many years and she was like my little sister. Kesha has denied under oath the horrible allegations now being made against me.' He goes on to present just a few pieces of evidence that helped him win his case on Friday, including a denial from Lady Gaga that he attacked her which was an accusation made by Kesha's lawyer Mark Geragos and an excerpt from a transcript that saw Kesha herself denying any sexual activity between her and the producer.
'Mark Geragos represented Scott Peterson and Chris Brown. How can he pretend he cares about women's rights?' He adds. 'Imagine if you or somebody you loved was publicly accused of a rape you knew they didn't do. Imagine that. I have 3 sisters, a daughter, and a son with my girlfriend, and a feminist mom who raised me right.'
He ended his piece by admitting that while there were 'creative differences at times', she has turned a contract negotiation 'into something horrendous and untrue' but insists he is still confident that with the truth will come out. He also insists that this will be the last time he speaks on the matter via Twitter until the case is resolved.
